DESCRIPTION:
The qualified applicant will provide on-site support in Colorado Springs, CO to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Multi-Domain Sensing Program (MDSP) with expertise in program planning and execution. The applicant will focus on program management-like activities in support of space system concept development (including resiliency, missile warning & tracking, and space-based target tracking), concept trade studies and assessments, and internal program coordination across all classification levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist MDSP Director in program management efforts to include Statement of Work development, schedule and performance management and tracking, and cost tracking to include evaluating contractor monthly financial reports
- Assist MDSP Director in documenting study results, distilling material, and crafting narratives for senior leadership
- Manage annual workplan development in close coordination with MDSP Division Chiefs and the SWAC Integration Layer
- Track workplan execution across multiple contractor-led developments and produce decision-ready recommendations to enhance and optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of proactive program integration and execution
- Collaborate in internal MDSP cross-team planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of program management and integration activities for multiple force designs
- Coordinate efforts internally and externally with multiple agencies/organizations
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong programmatic background
o Ability to work with the SWAC Biz ops team to put efforts on contract (including source selection) and develop supporting documentation; actively manage cost, schedule and performance; aggregate and generate monthly financial reports for each contracted effort
o Experience: 10+ years in program management role with direct experience putting efforts on contract and managing cost, schedule and performance
o Certifications: PM/system engineering certifications (Commercial or Government, desired PM Level II)
- Strong Communications/leadership background
o Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
o Familiarity with classified networks and systems
o Familiarity with the entire Title 10/50 space architectures
o Ability to decompose and articulate thoughts in chart or narrative form, and to quickly develop programmatic and informational content in support of the MDSP Director
o Ability to aggregate contractor deliverables and generate high quality, professional charts and documents that can be communicated to senior leadership
o Ability to clearly communicate Director’s intent to other Programs or SWAC personnel, as well as to articulate and translate programmatic content into leadership-level decision making products
- Technical background
o Technical understanding of how space systems operate in different orbital regimes
- Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, ability to be cleared for SAP, and be able to successfully pass a counter-intelligence polygraph. An existing polygraph is highly desirable.
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
