About the Opportunity
- Meet with company sales representative and clients to gather project requirements, establish project timeline, and develop project budget
- Develop creative design concepts and space plans that fulfill client requirements and conform to applicable building codes and ADA requirements
- Generate furniture plans with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD and CET and/or including 3D’s and elevations as required
- Generate accurate furniture specifications using 2020 Cap Technologies
- Develop color schemes with material and finish selections within schedule and budget requirements
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of contract office furniture lines
- Good working knowledge of systems furniture and space planning.
- Prepare installation plans as requested
- Select architectural finishes and prepare finish plans
- Participate in and prepare furniture inventories as needed
- All other duties as assigned
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Cap 2020, and CET
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Photoshop
- Ability to interpret communicated customer needs and project requirements into competent design solutions
- Strong oral, presentation, written, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with people, action-oriented, and not intimidated by deadlines, vendors or customers
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- 3-5 years of experience; dealership or furniture knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of CET required; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
- NCIDQ Certification preferred, but not required
