Achieving Excellence

As the Spa Housekeeping Manager, you are responsible for the overall cleanliness, detail, servicing, resources, and care of the entire Nordic spa facility. You will lead the Spa Attendant department to ensure the entire facilities and pool deck are kept to the highest standard while working in partnership with Aquatic Facility Manager to ensure the pool water quality is clean and in accordance with our brand and Provincial Regulatory standards.

Tasks & Responsibilites

  • Leads and supervises the spa attendant and cleaning teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Collaborates with the General Manager and Aquatic Facilities Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Directs cleaning operations to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas of the spa, including change rooms, lobby, massage pavilion, pools and facilities.
  • Maintains a visible presence in daily operations to support quality first impressions for guests.
  • Develops and manages the department budget in coordination with the General Manager and accounting team.
  • Oversees performance reviews, scheduling, payroll, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Ensures productivity goals are met while seeking cost and labor efficiency.
  • Recruits, trains, and mentors’ staff to meet company standards of quality, service, and productivity.
  • Provides resources, training, direction, coaching, and feedback to team members for their continuous development.
  • Addresses and resolves guest issues and complaints effectively using problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Champions safety protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assists in recruitment, financial reviews, expense tracking, and other fiscal activities as needed.
  • Develops and implements deep cleaning practices to maintain equipment longevity.
  • Leads by example with a hands-on approach to spa cleanliness duties.
  • Fulfills any other duties assigned by ANS Leadership as necessary.

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in a progressively senior role leading a housekeeping/cleaning department
  • Preference for those with experience in the hotel, hospitality, or aquatic industry
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Recognized team player and a self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop associates in an entrepreneurial and progressive environment
  • Proficient in Windows, PMS, and MS Office applications

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with employees, guests and other stakeholders. Working outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -30 C / -22 F to +30 C / +86 F.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
