Job Overview:
The Hot Tub Delivery Driver is responsible for preparing the daily delivery tickets, pull and load the hot tubs and merchandise in the priority that the schedule reflects for all crews, and execute delivery in a timely manner. Explain to the homeowner the next steps after the delivery is done, then complete the delivery paperwork and computer sales order upon return to the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- The Delivery Driver is responsible for helping to receive shipments accurately, systematically storing them, for the hot tub inventory and performing monthly physical inventories when required by the Warehouse Manager.
- The Delivery Driver is responsible for handling the movement of hot tub displays to showroom floors, from the floors to delivery, home show and fairs set up and tear down.
- As a driver for the company, the position requires safe practices when driving the company vehicle and securing the delivery load. The position also requires inspecting, maintaining and cleaning the delivery truck(s), and the delivery equipment.
- Secondary and occasional responsibilities include:
- Swim Spa Deliveries when required by Director. This consists of working with the crane company and customer for placement of the swim spa and explaining to the homeowner the next steps after the delivery is done, then completing the delivery paperwork and computer sales order upon return to the warehouse.
- Assisting the Distribution Center Director with driving a transfer delivery truck when required by safely delivering merchandise to the retail locations in a timely manner and unload and stock at the store locations. Inspecting the delivery vehicle and ensuring the safety and security of the loading and unloading process, picking up defective merchandise from store locations to return to the Distribution Center, and accounting for the inventory movement are also key.
- Sauna and patio furniture deliveries and assembly/installation when required by Director.
Qualifications:
- Ability to drive a 20' box truck (auto transmission) with trailer and 26’ box truck.
- Driving record that is CLEAN of any traffic violations, citations, or "at-fault" accidents for a minimum of the past 3 years
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- You must be able to pass a background check, drug test and MVR
- Ability to safely deliver products to retail store locations
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, walk, and move and lift 100+ pound items
- This is a "hands-on" delivery and warehousing position and involves very minimal desk-type work. You will be on your feet, working vigorously the majority of your day, lifting and lowering heavy objects.
- Ability to stock and retrieve merchandise of varying sizes from various heights, ranging from the floor level up to the ceiling of the Distribution Center. Moving stairs, ladders, pallet jacks, dollies and fork trucks provided.
- Ability to safely operate Distribution Center warehouse equipment such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, pallet scales, etc. (Fork Lift certification course will be provided upon employment)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include excellent vision with or without corrective lenses for driving, and close vision for operating a computer system and reading inventory documentation.
- Ability to work in an environment where there may be some variance in temperature, dust, & noise level
- Ability to do basic math without having to rely on a calculator for quick case counts and physical inventory
- Ability to count by case counts, such as by 6's, 12's, 18's, and 24's.
- Basic computer skills: The ability to operate a simple Windows based software system, email, and internet
Pay: $20.00 / hour
