Job Summary:
The Solutions Architect role is responsible for providing and applying strategic direction to solution design and deployment of Managed Service Provider (MSP) Programs. Commonly referred to as a “Business Analyst.” This role is responsible for working directly with clients, the Vendor Management System (VMS) providers, and all functional area subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the current end-to-end process of engagement and to define and document the requirements for a future-state solution.
This work from home (remote) position, reports directly to the Director of Solutions Architecture, and partners with other strategic implementation team members, shared services, and delivery teams at a global level based on project assignments.
Primary Job Functions:
- Conducting and facilitating client requirement sessions to collect all aspects of their end-to-end engagement process.
- Develop Blueprints, design elements, and capture all business rules related to the full program requirements.
- Provide best practice industry standards related to staff augmentation, statement of work, independent contractor management, worker tracking solutions, and alternative workforce solutions to include direct sourcing, talent pools, etc.
- Understanding of integration points with the VMS solution, whether upload or download in support of data management.
- Responsible for confirming client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) relative to the program and contractual agreements.
- Assist in the development of client specific transition strategies, including communication plans and change management approaches specific to the client requirements.
- Assist in data gathering in conjunction with identified client SMEs and in delivering data via specific data templates to the VMS Systems team for load.
- Assist in all optimization processes, including but not limited to cost savings initiatives, supplier rationalization, rate card creation, and tax planning.
- Assist TAPFIN Training Manager with providing appropriate training to other TAPFIN team members including the delivery/program office, solutions delivery support, suppliers, clients, and other staff with regard to the MSP processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with the TAPFIN VMS Systems Engineer to ensure the smooth transition from approved design to configuration.
- Assist with testing the configuration to ensure the design has been accurately captured.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) demonstrations that show the configured system meets client expectations and is ready for launch.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adherence to TAPFIN’s Quality Management System (QMS) Policy standards
- Strong VMS experience.
- Microsoft Office skills must include: Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Visio an added plus).
- A strong understanding of the staffing industry as it relates to resource engagement.
- Vertical industry experience with large system integrators and managed service providers.
- Must have strong presentation, negotiation, and written communications skills, outstanding time management, skilled in consulting and establishing credibility / trust with clients, ability to handle multiple priorities and projects, able to adapt to change, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to handle clients effectively.
- High School Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the staffing or IT project services sector, with customer service experience desired.
- Approximately 10% travel requirements.
