Job description

About the Role:
The Solutions Business Development Director for the Avionics vertical will lead the Solutions Business Development team at NXP Semiconductors. This team, composed of highly skilled technical resources adept in customer interaction, is primarily responsible for identifying industry pain points and transforming them into solution requests. The Solutions Business Development Director will play a crucial role in this process, working closely with regional resources and top industry leaders.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Guide and manage a team of Business Development Engineers. Provide strategic direction and support to ensure they meet their objectives. Problem Identification: Lead the analysis of major industry pain points through continuous market research, participation in fairs, conferences, and trade shows. Collaborate with top industry leaders and regional resources to create a comprehensive problem statement. Solution Definition/Request: Transform the problem statement into a solution request accompanied by a detailed business plan. Work closely with solution development teams across Business Lines and the R&D teams to formulate effective solutions to the identified problems. Solution Deployment: Oversee and be accountable for creating all associated collaterals to be deployed by the regional resources to all customer tiers in the appropriate format. Organize and lead System Solution Symposium events to train top customers/OEMs, and offer Tech Days participation for lower-tier customers by geographical area. Ensure final massive deployment to Field Application Engineers and target distribution branches.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within business development, sales, or a similar field in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of semiconductor technology and integration in Avionics solutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for market research, conferences, and customer meetings.
