Thales is hiring an experience Solution Architect (Sales/SE) as a vital member of the presales team. The Senior Solutions Architect is an experienced technologist comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. The purpose of this position is to demonstrate the ability of thinking strategically about business needs, technical challenges and solutions.
A Solutions Architect(Sales/SE)will provide guidance and assistance to account teams in building solutions to address customer data protection challenges. As a consultative expert in Thales Data Protection solutions, the architect will qualify a customer environment and gather information to effectively demonstrate, architect and prove the technical value of the Thales Data Protection solution against competitive alternatives. Your role as a self-started encourages you to build and maintain executive technical relationships to be a trusted advisor maximizing Thales opportunities with a customer.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Present to existing and potential customers and partners (including; development staff, CXO’s, and analysts) information concerning the technical and business benefits of Thales cybersecurity solutions
Using consultative selling skills, lead deep architectural discussions and designs with key customers to understand technical requirements and business direction in order to help them define their technical needs, and recommend solutions that meet those needs utilizing company products
Work closely with sales and customers to identify, evaluate, and make technical recommendations regarding tactical and strategic product deployment and enhancements. based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships or customer requirements
Arrange and coordinate product demonstrations or trial installations of products
Maintain a high degree of technical awareness of relevant Thales CPL products, competitive offerings and trends in the marketplace.
Be a subject matter expert with respect to cyber-security industry trends and challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of experience presenting technical information at the business executive level or at the architect level
Prior experience working with channel/partner
Enterprise software pre-sales and deployment experience across private, public and hybrid clouds and technical presentation
Strong background in the following areas: Enterprise Databases (Oracle, SQL server, Informix, DB2, etc.), Security (encryption, access control, PKI, digital certificates, etc.), Multi Factor Authentication & Public Key Infrastructure, Cloud Security and Cloud Application Modernization (DevOps, Automation, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, etc.) and Public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle)
