Solidification Pit Supervisor

Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 to $26.00

The Plant Manager will be responsible for all daily wastewater/solidification treatment operations. They will oversee all processes and ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Essential Functions:

• Schedule, assign and supervise work of Pit personnel • Monitor all Pit operations and processes
• Train new Pit technicians
• Prepare operating reports and communicating data to the Plant Manager
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety regulations
• Work with Human Resource to practice conflict resolution among Pit personnel
• Report and track expenses to reduce cost
• Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas for improvement
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in the evaluation of equipment and prioritization of repair assignments
• Ordering of Pit Supplies
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients
• Monitor lab test results and Pit sampling to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations
• Coordinate and Maintain communication with the Environmental Director
• Work with sales and transportation department to ensure customer needs are met
• May be called on during off hours for emergencies related to plant operations and maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Proficiency in Chemistry and Mathematics
• Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic principles
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple personnel
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a wastewater treatment facility
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to Lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform tasks such as lifting items/equipment onto trucks, climbing over rough terrain and pulling/hooking up hoses
• Already certified or can pass the certification to drive vehicles such as: Forklift, End Loader, Skid Steer Loader and Excavator
