As a Solder Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our electronic assemblies meet the highest industry standards, specifically adhering to IPC-A-610A criteria. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Soldering: Perform soldering and assembly of electronic components, connectors, and PCBs according to IPC-A-610A requirements.
- Conduct visual inspections to verify that soldered assemblies meet the specified standards and are free of defects. Document and report any non-conformities.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of soldering equipment and tools. Report any issues promptly.
- Accurately identify and handle various electronic components, ensuring correct placement and orientation during assembly.
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, and maintain records of all soldering and assembly activities.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to resolve any technical issues and implement process improvements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with soldering equipment and materials.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in soldering and electronic assembly, with a strong understanding of IPC-A-610A standards.
- Knowledge of electronic components and their handling requirements.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with soldering equipment and tools.
- IPC-A-610A certification is a plus.
