Position: Solar Sheet Metal Foreman
Description:
A highly skilled professional who manages a team of workers in the fabrication and installation of Sheet Metal components for solar panel systems. My primary responsibility is to oversee the production process and ensure that deadlines are met and that quality standards are maintained.
Functions:
- Working Knowledge of Sheet Metal materials and varying fabrication techniques.
- Accurately and capably follow instructions/directions from the supervisor in charge, with minimal or no supervision.
- Provide clients with a seamless installation process from start to finish, ensuring quality and workmanship with every project.
- Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and own tools.
- Punctual and reliable
- Experience in successfully leading small crews through a multitude of projects, sometimes simultaneously; including but not limited to metal roofs, gutter and downspouts, weatherproofing, flashing, and architectural Sheet Metal.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Sheet Metal or similar construction trade
- Experience in managing small teams/crews.
- Interest in professional growth and success within our company.
- A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1-2 years of field experience
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively work with technology (i.e., smartphones and/or tablets)
- Ability to lift heavy items (50+ lbs), twist, bending, use both hands and arms, kneel, squat, stand and/or walk for long periods, and climb ladders
- Ability to work in intense weather (heat and cold), tolerate moderate levels of noise.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Work a minimum of 40 hours/week, sometimes weekends.
