The Permitting Specialist for 365 Solar Energy will be responsible for the tracking and submitting of permit and interconnection applications. This will include working with jurisdictions and utility companies to move our customers through the pipelines. You will need to follow up with customers, jurisdictions, and utilities on a weekly basis for applications submitted.
Essential Duties:
Implement and maintain company policy and procedures.
Provide up to date training to all permitting/ICR associates as needed.
Filling out the appropriate forms and applications for HOA, permits, interconnections, business licenses, etc.
Four box evaluations created and discussed with corresponding team member.
Complete all training modules within timeframe as assigned.
Follows up with AHJ’s and utilities to ensure timely review and approval of applications.
Proactively contact utilities/AHJ on that status of projects and get clarification on utility/AHJ requirements.
Oversees other permitting/interconnection specialists.
Checks on loan status throughout the project and notify upper management when account is close to expiration (within 90 days)
Identify common issues and develop suitable solutions and processes.
Notify upper management when project is going to exceed 30-day marker and will not be ready to install.
Notify any delays with AHJ/utilities/HOAs/ or anything that may delay the project.
Update notes in an internal database and spreadsheets for all related tasks and manages project status changes.
Tracking KPIs to hold associates accountable.
Reporting KPIs to upper management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of solar / AHJs / interconnection process
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
Strong Critical thinking skills
Professional phone, writing, follow-up and problem solving skills.
Require excellent communication, organization, leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of personal computer usage with skills in MSOffice / Google Drive
Excellent customer service skills
Strong professional phone, writing, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Must successfully pass drug and criminal background check
