Summary
Are you passionate about Sustainability and Renewable Energy? At PARTNER Energy we know the importance of transitioning to Renewable Energy. We are committed to fighting climate change and leading the way in creating a sustainable future. Solar Engineer develops and prepares site engineering technical designs for Partner Engineering and Science’s Renewable Energy Team. This role requires an applied understanding of civil engineering, land use, and related environmental concerns. The role will develop designs by applying engineering principles and data under the direction and mentorship of a licensed Professional Engineer. The Solar Engineer shall exercise good engineering practices to promote the success of Partner Engineering as a leader in Renewable Energy installations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare Civil Engineering technical designs for renewable energy installations
- Provide due diligence efforts and interpretations of AHJ land use requirements
- Prepare the basis of design analysis and review
- Interface with survey, environmental, geotechnical, and other technical disciplines
- Prepare engineering design and construction documents
- Improve the Civil Engineering design processes through collaboration
- Travel for site inspection, evaluation, and viability analyses
- Attend and participate in project-related meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program
- 2+ years’ experience working with, interpreting, designing, and/or preparing Site/Civil Engineering documents including:
- Ordinances, zoning, and/or AHJ design standards
- Topographic mapping
- Geotechnical data, seasonal high groundwater, soil permeability
- Layout
- Grading and earthwork
- Hydrologic modeling, calculations, and reports
- Stormwater control
- Soil Erosion and Sediment Control
- Vehicle maneuverability modeling
- Pavement structural design
- Floodplain delineation
- Effective problem-solving and evaluation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient software user including:
- Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS
- HEC-HMS, PondPack, HEC-RAS
- MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project
- Other engineering design software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
Compensation
$60,000-$80,000 (based on education, licensing, location, and professional experience)
