Geotechnology, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) company, has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.

To perform routine Soils Laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager. The possibility of data reduction and boring log preparation exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.
Job Responsibilities:
    • Performs soil, aggregate, and asphalt testing such as Atterberg limits, moisture content, grain size analysis, unconfined compressive strength tests, and Marshall Properties
    • Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order
    • Assists in logging, storage, and disposal of soil samples
    • Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma
    • Good oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities
    • Ability to effectively use computers
    • Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience
    • Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
    • Required to stand for long periods of time
