Software UI QA Tester 

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance.

Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is looking for a motivated Software UI QA Tester to support Department of Energy (DOE). The Software UI QA Tester Apply rigorous techniques, processes, and tools to ensure the most robust coding is implemented of the redesign and re-branding of the DOE website. Working with stakeholders from DOE division, the Software UI QA Tester will ensure all stakeholders input is taken into consideration as the system is designed and implemented.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Software UI QA Tester: $40 to $48 per hour/Part-time.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.  Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Software UI QA Tester Responsibilities Include: 

• Defines, implements, and executes manual and automated tests for web software components.
• Develops test cases and maps requirements to tests.
• Performs integration, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Manages and executes tests in Visual Studio and TFS.
• Thoroughly documents and manages bugs using TFS.
• Works effectively in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Good communication (Oral & Written) skills.
• Perform 508 compliance scan on the code
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Software UI QA Tester Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a software tester and 1+ years of recent Microsoft TFS and Microsoft Visual Studio experience.
• Experience testing/developing web-based applications
• Excellent critical thinking and communications skills both oral and written.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
• Focus and independent drive to complete tasks. 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently/with minimal direction. 
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
