Form of worki3 is seeking a Platform Test Engineer to provide test support to support the JBC-P (Joint Battle Command Platform) project aboard Redstone Arsenal. The Test Engineer will support testing of software and systems developed at S3I and by third party vendors. The Test Engineer will develop test procedures, test plans, and test reports. In addition, Test Engineer may be asked to travel to customer specified sites for operational testing, demonstrations and field support. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Preferred candidates will have strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks and tools such as Wireshark to help debug issue. Additionally, they will have strong intuition for intuitive testing and troubleshooting. Often times the Test Engineer will be the first one seeing the software, so they must be able to learn new things with little to no direction or documentations. They should be able to read and interpret software and system requirements.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
- Current State Driver’s License and US Passport.
- Be willing to periodically travel within the US.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance for this position.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in Software Test.
- Two (2) years of experience in C4ISR Army systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- Experience with VMF Messaging Standards
- Experience with Tactical Radio Networks
- Experience with Blue Force Tracker
- Experience with Mounted Mission Command platform and NOC systems.
- Experience with fielding Joint Battle Command-Platform systems.
- Network+ and/or Security+ Certification.
- Software Testing Certification such as ASTQB CTFL.
- Active secret clearance.
