Form of workROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform systematic manual testing of application software to identify problems
- Functionally test new features to ensure they work as expected
- Perform regression testing to ensure consistency
- Detect and improve specifications where ambiguity exists
- Investigate and recreate reported defects
- Review specifications, end user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed
- Track and document all testing defects and resolutions
- Work collaboratively with the development and support teams to understand features
- Communicate and report clearly and accurately on test results
REQUIRED/PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:
- Regression and/or Functional Testing experience
- Agile experience preferred
- Experience with web-based software applications
- Strong root-cause analysis skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Problem solving and analytical thinking
- Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Software Support Analyst preferred but not required
- 1-3 Banking/Financial experience preferred but not required
