Mercury® Financial is headquartered in the progressive and entrepreneurial tech hub of Austin, Texas. Our physical location is situated in a beautiful park like setting called the Domain. What a day is like:

• Validate source data extraction, business transformation logic and target table loading
• Identify problems and provide solutions for potential issues.
• Work extensively in UNIX environment for file transfer (flat file,data feeds) to vendors and partners
• Validation of data transformations and perform End-to-End data validations for ETL systems
• Perform data analytical testing for BI systems.
• Work with project team members in an Agile environment to ensure business requirements and/or feature documents are clear, concise, traceable and testable
• Participate as project team member to recommend, develop and implement improvements to existing processes and standards in reference to development and quality management methodologies
• Work collaboratively with organization and its partners to ensure established procedures, standards and processes are utilized consistently throughout the development lifecycle
• Work with distributed team supporting various time zones.
• Execute backend data driven tests

You’re perfect for this role if you have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
• 5 plus years of experience in ETL process - data analysis, validations, cleaning, verification, extraction, transformation, loading and troubleshooting data quality issues
• Experience in ETL tools like Datastage or Informatica
• Strong command over SQL. Ability to write complex queries across different systems
• Shell Scripts/Unix experience
• Agile knowledge
• Automation knowledge

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and part of a team (both local and remote)
• Deliverable conscious, self-initiated, dependable and trustworthy

Travel (if any)

• As requested by Manager (Less than 5%)

Supervisory Duties (if any)

• None, for now; possibly at a later time
