Primary Responsibilities
The RF & Intelligence Solutions Department is a group of engineers who specialize in testing foreign threat
radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open-air
radar development. The candidate selected for this position will support projects for the Defense Intelligence
Community, Air Force, and large prime contractors.
Project assignments could be focused in one or multiple of the following areas:
• Development and upkeep of MATLAB scripts to automate testing of simulated radar and missile
models in both software-based and hardware-in-the-loop configurations in a variety of environments
including Windows, Linux, and hard real-time operating systems.
• Development of MATLAB and C++ custom graphical user-interface tools to support simulation
control and real-time visualization of simulation results.
Development and upkeep of testing procedures and user documentation for customer and internal
use.
• Creation of deployable professional software deliveries with supporting documentation including
version descriptions, test results, and robust installation tools.
• Collaboration with external customers to elicit requirements and define project goals.
• Collaboration with cross-department teams to develop, validate, deliver, and sustain emulated
software-based and hardware-based foreign radar threat systems.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2-4 years experience
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering , or Computer Engineering degree from
an ABET-accredited institution.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or
meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
• Must have familiarity with MATLAB and a proficient background in coding
• A background in C++ or object-oriented coding
• Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more of the focus areas, have good
interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team.
Preferred Qualifications:
List additional skills and experience that is “nice to have” but not required.
• Familiarity in any of the following tools is preferred but not required: Microsoft Visual Studio,
Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), Git, Bash or PowerShell Scripting, Microsoft
Office, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with any of the following concepts is preferred but not required: SCRUM, RF, radar,
drafting test procedures and documentation.
• Familiarity using any of the following test equipment is nice to have but not required: Oscilloscope,
Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
