Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Software Engineer to drive end-to-end improvements of our autonomous vehicle technology and launch a great autonomous driving experience to millions of users around the world!
We are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, with some of the most forward-thinking people on the planet working with us. With our invention of the GPU, we set the stage for advances in the field of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and medical research. Today, we are developing groundbreaking products in robotics and intelligent autonomous machines. There has never been a more exciting time to join us!
What you will be doing:
  • Drive the top-level product metrics for safety, comfort, and other dimensions of the product, defining sub-categories and slices in order to make them more actionable
  • Analyze & diagnose the underlying events contributing to these metrics, identify trends, and determine the top priority engineering work for improving the product experience
  • Implement and/or recommend improvements across features and across the stack, in collaboration with the corresponding component engineering teams
  • Scale out this iterative development process by developing more automation and leveraging more ops resources
  • Ensure that the driving quality of the product remains high by making go/no-go decisions on major technical changes, defining the tests/frameworks required to guard against regressions, and identifying/addressing regressions
What we need to see:
  • BS or a higher degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar or related role
  • Solid C/C++ programming skills with practical experience working in Linux, using version control systems, and debugging
  • Well-rounded knowledge of how an autonomous vehicle stack works, and practical experience dealing with the challenges in this area
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle and/or machine learning development
  • Worked with data analysis tools/languages such as SQL
  • Experience working in start-ups and/or early-stage products
If you're passionate about Autonomous Vehicles, we would love to hear from you!
