Overview:Responsibilities:

• Lead Enterprise application development and design of enterprise level Web applications and Microservices using REST APIs by leveraging technologies including Microsoft.NET, C#, Azure, HTML 5, Angular and React JS;
• Guide Product Management on current technical evolutions and assist with strategizing these into potential features by finding marketable features or supplying a high-level design and estimates to rolling out features;
• Research and recommend new software and platform technologies and develop advanced software framework components utilizing Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies;
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure architects to research and design system and process workflows to deliver high performing product suite;
• Mentor agile team developers and provide senior level technical guidance and training to development teams on progressive technologies;
• Participate as a technical leader in agile project and sprint planning sessions;
• Analyze and develop relational databases such as SQL Server, develop high performant queries, and recommend performance enhancements to existing database interfaces;
• Develop high-level designs for software applications and work with team members to develop detail design;
• Ensure the team follows coding standards and best practices by performing code reviews and providing feedback;
• Lead the triage and resolution of complex system issues involving live production clients by troubleshooting various components of the application and providing technical support; and
• Design and evolve build automation pipelines, to help Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Design (CD) meet the enterprise standards using Gradle, Jenkins, Xebia XLR and XLD.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience developing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (Representational State Transfer) Services using Microsoft.NET, C#, WCF, ASP.NET and Web APIs;
• 5 years of experience designing, developing and performance tuning of multiple relational database systems including SQL Server and Oracle;
• 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies to develop cloud native applications;
• 3 years of experience producing predictive models using Snowflake, Azure Machine Learning and Python;
• 1 year of experience working with Human Capital Management (HCM) Systems using HTML5 and Angular and/or React JavaScript;
• 1 year of development experience using XLR, XLD, and build tools (Jenkins).

Position may telecommute from any location within the U.S.

Compensation: In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $132,400-$148,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
