What you'll do...
As part of the Health and Wellness Optical Production Support Team you will play a pivotal role in reducing the operational cost and the stability of our production environments for our Vision Centers in both Walmart Stores and SAMS Clubs. Between Walmart and SAMS, the total number of Vision Centers is more than 3000 Vision Centers. There is no other company where you can have this much positive impact to drive real change. As part of the Optical Production Support Team your primary responsibility with be supporting our Optical Fulfillment Application (aka BOSS) which is used for frame and contact lens fulfillment for the end-customer. You will primarily work directly with Central Operation and Clinic associates focused on the following areas: Incident Management, Service Request Management, and Problem Management.

From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
What you'll do:
Assist with day to day escalated production issues
Identify and develop fixes for gaps in alerting, monitoring, and code defects
Develop processes and tools to simplify support processes
Position will require pager on-call duties (weekdays & weekends)
What you'll bring:
Experience supporting large scale application
Experience with Splunk and/or Grafana dashboards
Scripting Languages: bash/ksh, Python
Programming Languages: C, C++, Java, Go
Database Experience: Informix, SQL Server, Cosmos
Need proven skills at troubleshooting
Familiar with Incident Management Tools - preferred ServiceNow
Familiar with Project Management Tools - JIRA and Confluence
Basic understanding of Cloud Technologies (Azure Preferred), Kubernetes, Docker
Linux and Windows Skills.
3-5 year of Software Engineer experience with at least 1 year in production support role.
Experience with logging/monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, Log Analytics preferred
