Software Engineer job in Marietta, Georgia is available with GeoLogics Top Aerospace & Defense company. In this job you will apply your experience in the software development lifecycle, including requirements generation, software design, implementation, integration, and flight test of the vehicle systems domain. Responsibilities may span the avionics services, to include ground station development as well as mission systems software technologies. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations in a customer-facing role.
Required Skills & Experience
- U.S. Citizen with U.S. Department of Defense active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering and 9+ years of relevant experience; or Masters degree and 7+ years of experience
- C and/or C++
- Linux or RTOS and associated development toolchains
- Developing software for embedded real-time systems
- Static and dynamics analysis tools
- Systems Engineering processes (requirements development, use cases, data flows, etc.)
- Integrating hardware and software
- Git/Bitbucket
- C#, Python, and/or PERL
- Safety/flight critical software development experience (e.g. MIL-STD-516C, MIL-HDBK-1797, AC-17-01)
- Automated test methodologies
- Networking protocols (e.g. IP, UDP, RTP, etc.)
- Modeling and Simulation (including familiarity with MATLAB)
- Vehicle Management System (VMS) architectures
- Xilinx UltraScale+ SoC architecture
- Hardware protocols (e.g. ARINC-429, RS-485, I2C, SPI, etc.)
