Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented Developer, who is interested in growing their skills in an enterprise level environment. This developer will be working on a mission critical application modernization initiative for the next three years.

Top 3 Skills:

• Application Development using C#.NET
• Strong experience in AWS including AKS, and building out Lambda's
• Demonstrated desire to continuous learn which could include the pursuit of MIS/CIS degree or related certifications, etc.

Duration:

• 6month contract-to-hire

Location:

• Remote with the potential for a hybrid working environment of 2 days a week in one of the following locations.
  • San Diego, CA
  • Austin, TX
  • Fort Mill, SC

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, tune and implement n-tiered web-based applications
• Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and their Integration with other systems.
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road map.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.
• Work collaboratively with QA and DevOPS teams to adopt CI/CD
• Coordinate closely with Cyber Security and Architecture
• Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support.
• Design and develop core services and components with expertise in service-oriented architecture.
• Design patterns and coding best practices

Technical Qualifications:

• Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex systems, including developing solutions from scratch.
• 5+ years of experience designing web/service oriented applications using C# .NET
• Highly desired 2+ years of working experience in .NET Core, Docker containers
• Highly desired experience with AWS Cloud service technologies
• Excellent development experience with REST,SOAP based services
• Excellent understanding of SOA principles and design patterns
• Understanding of system integration. Great track record of implementing the distributed systems with legacy and modern technical tools.
• Knowledge in about pub/sub messaging technologies and patterns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience web/service development experience with the following technologies: .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#
• Desired web/service development experience with the following technologies: Node, MVC, Angular, Nuget
• Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools
• Desirable experience working with AWS cloud technologies such as EC2, ECS, ECR, Fargate, VPC, S3, RDS, Dynamo DB, SQS, Cloud Formation, CloudWatch/Trail, IAM and Auto Scaling.
• Highly desired experience in Docker container development and deploying containers to AWS cloud
• Highly desired experience working with exception handling, caching (Apache Ignite, Solr, Coherence or others) and Pub/sub (EMS, ActiveMQ or others)
• Experience working with source control tools like TFS, GIT etc.
• Desirable working knowledge of client tools like Javascript/JQuery, HMTL, CSS, Angular JS, Type Script, jQuery is a plus
• Experience in writing unit tests using any of these technologiesmVS Tests, Nunit, Junit, Munit, Jasmin/Karma
