Software Engineer (14330)

Your IT Recruiter is looking for a Software Engineer for our client.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
You will join a multi-disciplinary team and:
Design, modify, develop, write, and implement and integrate software programming applications using agile methods.
Write source code for new applications, and/or generate and enhance code for existing applications.
Perform code reviews, optimize algorithms, and model and conduct experiments to ensure the functionality and performance of products or solutions.
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Basic Qualifications :
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field rom an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Academic or professional experience using Java, C, C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Desired skills :
Working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).
FACE, Data Modelling and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) - Cameo or Rhapsody, SysML, DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD.
Design Assurance, System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Familiarity or Experience with any of the following:
o Data Modeling
o SWF/DDE
o CPL and UoP development, FACE
o Cockpit Avionics, DO-178
o Air Data Computer, AHRS Integration, Civil FMS
