YOU

As a Software Developer in Test, you will be responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction is met or exceeded by testing and verifying all software applications prior to release. You will fully participate in Test planning, design, and execution of both manual and automated tests. You will take written test steps and turn them into automated tests using Selenium (or similar framework). You will maintain our test automation framework to ensure test coverage, reliability, and a best-in-class product.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Design, develop and execute end to end functional, regression, integration, performance, and automated tests. (60%)

Develop and maintain overall manual and automated test plans for multiple software applications. (20%)

Perform ongoing manual, functional, regression and integration test cases, while focusing on maintaining and keeping our automation framework up to date. Perform ongoing manual user acceptance tests based on completed development stories. Document and evaluate test results. (10%)

Partner with business analysts to ensure requirements are understood for proper testing. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably in business, IT, computer science, engineering or another technology-focused field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years in a Software Developer in Test or similar role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with integrating automated testing with CI/CD servers for continuous integration.
  • 2+ years using C#, TSQL, HTML and other programming languages.
  • Strong ability to produce and assess programming code (C#) to create and maintain automated tests.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with existing automated tests.
  • Improve existing automated tests and/or design more efficient tests.
  • Understand the needs of a product and advise on and design testing strategies.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and teammates.
  • Strong ability to write and understand C# and other programming languages.
  • Team City build server knowledge is a plus.
  • Git source control knowledge is a plus.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to thoroughly and concisely review a product, service or procedure.
  • Communication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers.

This full-time, exempt position is located in Lafayette, IN and is open to fully remote within the US.

PAY

$69,400.00 - $90,200.00 / year

  • Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
