Leidos is hiring a Software Developer to develop external interfaces in Python programming for one of our significant programs within the company, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS requires Seller support services to provide operations and maintenance, application development and testing support for the Paper and Remittance Processing Support (PRPS) III Project.
The Successful Candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of relevant experience. However, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Python programming, at least 6 months experience.
The ability to understand complex if/then logic, and spot logical errors and opportunities for enhanced clarity.
The ability to comprehend a business need and translate it into specific if/then programmable language in Python.
Ability to solicit and understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements.
The ability to understand AI/ML concepts like model training and training sets vs testing sets, and garbage in garbage out, etc.
The skills to understanding the complex business requirements of the IRS and hunting down answers when questions arise.
What sets you apart:
Experience with C/C++ programming on Windows and Unix environments.
Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance, similar to a Public Trust.
Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and have resided in the US for 3 of the last 5 years and be Federal Tax compliant.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
