At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Software Developer supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work on Salesforce platform and provide IT development in support of Marketplace initiatives. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Building Salesforce applications/frameworks using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component Framework (Aura and LWC) and leveraging the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the program
- Implementing solutions that adhere to Salesforce platform best practices and perform peer code reviews
- Collaborating with Scrum Teams to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testing
- Working with team members to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements in to customized solutions that are highly scalable, extensible, and easy to maintain while keeping the overall end-user experience in mind
- Providing system administration support to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow
- Assisting with in-depth analysis of technical problems, suggesting short- term and long-term resolutions and an overall roadmap for the completion of this process
- Supporting post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixes
- High School diploma and some college
- 6mo+ of hands-on experience working on AWS-based project, which may include customized solutions with in Java/J2EE, Angular, and/or Salesforce/other CRM platform (such as Dynamics 365)
- Expert with MS Office and related tools
- Excellent presentation skills, experienced presenting to audiences with multiple leadership levels
- Experience working in a large software development company, including GDIT, understanding how to efficiently work within software development lifecycles
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
- Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
- Healthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience
- Hands-on experience designing, coding, and implementing Java web applications and/or Salesforce applications
- Experince with Artificial Intelligence and algorithms, Python programming language, and Linux operating system
- Experince with version control/configuration software, such as Github and/or BitBucket, for development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX) and/or other IDEs such as Eclipse
- Working knowledge of complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Experience providing technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and "how-to" assistance
- Experience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban
- Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail
- Willingness to complete certification training and test for/obtain related certification(s), such as Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
