Description
Cambrae Business Strategies, Inc., recognized for consistently providing excellent results for its federal government and private sector clients, is seeking a remote, highly motivated, and experienced Software Developer to join our team to support our government clients.
Position Summary:
Forms and Publications Orders (FPORDERS) is a legacy mainframe application used enterprise-wide by as many as 350-700 end-users across 175+ locations. FPORDERS is used to process and track requisition requests and uses various system reports to conduct inventory management functions to ensure adequate stock is on hand to fulfill all requests.
The primary role will be to support the migration and integration of complex software systems from a mainframe to the VA's Enterprise Cloud enclaves (AWS and Azure) including on-premises private cloud infrastructures. In addition to designing, configuring, developing, and implementing software to address solution modernization requirements.
Duties:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Provide application development, modernization, and technical support, and be a key contributor to continuous process improvement focused on delivering high-performance web-based applications, API's and reusable microservices to guide modernization, integration, and interoperability of key systems.
• Identify and escalate risks.
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or COTS/GOTS software.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C#, Python, and PowerShell.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell for system administration tasks.
• Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments, including Azure and AWS.
• Work on various phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our software development processes.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
• Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
• Identify innovative ways to addressing requirements.
• Develop and implement automated tests to ensure your product functions as designed.
• Perform other administrative and technical duties as required.
• Conduct troubleshooting and forensics across all facets of the cloud stack while executing processes corrective action and continual service improvement.
• Work on complex technical problems and provide ingenious solutions.
• Exercise care and quality in delivering results.

Requirements
Requirements:

• Experience working on a DevSecOps team in a SAFE Agile development environment.
• Experience in engaging and collaborating with multiple teams and key stakeholders to develop Epics, features, user stories, use cases and/or personas.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, to communicate effectively with all stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Testing experience
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, Azure cloud, and Redshift, Glue, Oracle RDS and S3 knowledge and experience

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

• Bachelor's and seven (7) years or more experience, - OR -
• Master's and five (5) years or more experience
• Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust - Medium Background Investigation (MBI)

Salary Description
$112,000 - $115,000 a year
