We are a growing, innovative, and fast-paced software development company that is looking for a Software Developer to join our department.
Our clients come first and everyone in our office has a passion for helping people find what they need when they need it. This is an entry-level full-time, salary-based position that follows a regular Monday Through Friday (40+ hours per week) work schedule. Occasional overnight travel for training and conference attendance may require extra hours. Extra hours may also be necessary during peak workload periods.
Duties
The Software Developer is responsible for supporting clients by maintaining and updating the existing company platforms, converting new client data, and assisting in the development of new platforms for clients and customers.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Complete programming assignments on time with good quality.
2. Assist with conversions, upgrades, onboarding, etc. of DTC clients.
3. Maintain a basic understanding of all DTC applications, features, and offerings.
4. Help research and help resolve support inquiries related to DTC-developed software applications.
5. Assist with testing of DTC software to meet defined standards and functionality.
6. Assist in maintaining and building websites for clients as needed.
7. Assist with support and managed services assignments to keep DTC on track with crucial assignments, as assigned.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Programming and Development Manager, Administrator, or Company President.
Key Performance Indicators (Department objectives)
· Completion of assignments on schedule.
· Recording of all work time in timesheets, especially related to ticket and project work;
billable time is marked appropriately.
Required Skills
· Position requires a minimum of an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree.
· Good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates attention to detail.
· Good at using Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
· Can program in at least one (1) modern programming language, including but not
limited to, Java, MS Visual FoxPro, JavaScript, PHP, or C#.
· An understanding of computer hardware, networking, and server virtualization are
helpful, but not essential.
Physical Requirements
· Sedentary: Able to sit for extended periods of time, occasional walking, standing (as
necessary), and able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
· Dexterity: Finger movements (computer keyboard, calculator), eye-hand coordination (office equipment, etc.).
· Ability to operate a computer / laptop / tablet / smart phone / PC.
· Ability to communicate with clients by phone.
· Audio-Visual Requirements: Within normal range with or without correction.
· Is able to move throughout all buildings, floors, and grounds.
· Worksite Environment: Primarily indoors-office setting with occasional exposure to
outdoor elements/climate during the day.
· Mental demands: Steady response to unpredictable situations, ability to remain calm
and productive during stressful situations.
· Demonstrates independent judgment, discretion, and can manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
