Looking for a Security Software Developer opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Discover this great opportunity in our Jacksonville, FL location. Bring your ability to provided analysis support for Government systems, specifically the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Depot Maintenance System (NDMS) systems and interfaces and make an impact towards our military defense by discovering your new role supporting this mission.

 

Serco supports the NAVAIR on its FRCSE NDMS contract which is looking for a Security Software Developer to participate as an active team member on development teams utilizing Agile development practices, disciplines, and techniques. This includes but is not limited to the following: planning, analysis and execution of assigned use cases, user stories, test scripts and product backlog as it relates to the refinement of requirements development and continuous Life Cycle Management.

 

You will be part of a team comprised of government and contractors that work closely with other Serco team members to deliver quality support. Our team has been recognized by the Naval Air Systems Command Program as providing top quality services in support of the customers.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Translate functional user requirements into user stories, document requirements, support documentation peer reviews, document system inputs/outputs, process flows, data structures, and file layouts.
  • Prepare test data, conduct tests, document, and evaluate test results, identify pass/fail criteria and problems encountered, and identify and recommend corrective actions and facilitate resolution.
  • Provide guidance and performs training for implementation of new program releases. Identify post implementation requirements, problems, and overall process expectations.
  • Organize and facilitate sessions to capture and define system and interface systems change requests, research, and evaluate alternatives/options.
  • Coordinate on software requirements specifications. Document and respond to user questions and system change requests.
  • Provide support to team members for assigned systems/modules for working teams.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain NACLC
  • High School Diploma /GED
  • 5 years of highly relevant equivalent work
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Project)
  • Strong experience working with Standard Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience with Manual, Automated and Software testing
  • Experience with Agile & BDD
  • Ability to understand and develop IT system requirements using documented objective statements, flow charts and diagrams.
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Proficiency in Java (5+ years) and Spring
  • Experience with Identity Access Management (IAM) Solutions: Keycloak
  • Experience with Modern Authentication/Authorization protocols (OAuth, Open ID Connect, mTLS)
  • Knowledgable on Cloud Security Practices (Zero Trust Architecture, Sidecars, Service Mesh, Istio)
  • Understanding containerization concepts (Docker)
  • Familiarity with industry security standards (NIST, OWASP, FIPS)

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific related field
  • VS Code
  • Familiarity with TOAD for Oracle, Project Management methodologies, and Capability Maturity Models.
  • Experience with Agile Development practices, disciplines, techniques, and methodology (highly desirable).
