NAWS China Lake is a large military installation in California that supports the research, testing and evaluation programs of the U.S. Navy. Rollout Systems in currently hiring multiple software developers for the recently awarded All Weapons Information System program which provides complete life cycle tracking for ordnance systems.
The developers we seek must have an active DOD security clearance at at least an Interim Secret level. If you don't have a clearance, your resume will not be considered for a position.
POSITION WORKING HOURS: 8:00am - 4PM Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Required: Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years related software development experience, or
Associates degree and at least 5 years related software development experience, or
High school diploma and at least 7 years related software development experience
Note: Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized the the United States Dept of Education
Security Clearance: Minimum required is an active Interim Secret. Secret or Top Secret (we do not sponsor security clearances)
Tools/Technologies: ASP.Net CORE, HTML 5, JavaScript (ECMA Script 6), CSS 3.0, jQuery, PureCSS, Node.js, SASS, SQL Server 2017+
Desired:
- DevOps is a plus!
- Experience changing applications from Oracle to SQL Server a plus.
- Application modernization experience a plus (ASP to .Net)
- Home office (anywhere nationwide as long as you can work the 8am - 4pm PST hours) - Onsite desk at program site also an option.

Job Functions:
- The software developer will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Individual will work independently in analysis of user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Will update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
- Will be performing application modernization
- Will be migrating to DevOps
- Developer will work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Will maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
- Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
- May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.
