We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Software Asset Management Specialist to join our IT Asset Management team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA and Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Participate and/or lead a wide array of activities supporting and improving processes for the global Software Asset Management Program.
  • You will be responsible for software compliance activities, software lifecycle management, managing an internal customer request queue, SAM evangelism program and individually assigned projects.
  • Maximize the value of IT assets by managing processes, controlling costs and driving compliance to mitigate risk. Monitor, maintain and enforce Software Asset Management policies and procedures. Will be expected to introduce new ideas for automating and improving processes, productivity or compliance.
  • Manage the software environment by interpreting software contracts, understanding the technology platform, creating license positions and working with product owners to deploy in a compliant manner.
  • Discover underlying business needs to be addressed and information related to the Software Asset Management projects through interaction
  • Analyze and interpret inventory and reporting tool data to build deployment and usage information for complex software configurations.
  • Responsible for monitoring and actioning the team's software request queue on a rotational basis.
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather pertinent information for software renewals and the optimization of the assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Communicate SAM best practices and proper procedures to internal customers through the SAM education program.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in IT Software Asset Management; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • A thorough understanding of IT concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies. Strong technical background with a working knowledge of IT Infrastructure such as Active Directory, Windows, Linux, Citrix, DB structure, cloud applications and security.
  • Full understanding of software license types, metrics and applied applications.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data from disparate systems and perform analysis at a detailed level to produce comprehensive reports.
  • A critical thinker with the ability to encourage others in collaborative deductive problem solving exercises. Perform basic Project Management for Enterprise wide Software Asset Management initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills that include excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to different audiences and levels of the organization.
  • CSAM or CITAM certification.
