Software Asset Management Analyst
How Will You Make an Impact?
The Software Asset Management Analystis responsible for Pearson’s Software Asset Management program including Software Assets, licenses, and compliance to ensure optimal use of software and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in key Software Asset Management disciplines with a firm understanding of current industry standards for SAM best practices, strategies and policies, software license models and processes.
What Will You Be Working On:
  • Develop and implement Software Asset Management best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Promote and champion Software Asset Management strategies and capabilities across the organization
  • Conduct analysis, design, and requirements for SAM process improvements and enhancements
  • Monitor and manage software licenses to ensure compliance and optimal utilization
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive the organization towards software optimization
  • Conduct internal software audits for licensing across desktop and server environments to ensure compliance with licensing agreements
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date software inventory
  • Develop and maintain Software Asset Management reports and metrics
  • Provide Software Asset Management reports and updates to senior level management team
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to Software Asset Management
What Skills or Experiences Do You Need To Be Successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business management or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT procurement, or related field
  • Exceptional knowledge of software licensing models and Software Asset Management processes
  • Experience managing software audits with large vendors (IBM, Oracle, Adobe, Microsoft)
  • Experience and understanding of tracking cloud-based Software Assets
  • Experience with industry standard server environments along with virtualization platforms such as VMware
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams around the globe
  • Self-starter that can work under pressure and deliver under project deadlines
  • Experience with ServiceNow and ServiceNow SAM Pro is desirable
  • ITIL Framework and/or CSAM Certifications are desirable
