Software Analyst Senior

NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is seeking a Software Analyst Senior. This position will provide requirements gathering and analysis, will participate in all phases of SDLC like functional testing and user acceptance testing along with developing documentation for the project.
Day to day tasks include but not limited to:

• Work with OCFS staff to document the requirements for the system.
• Facilitate meetings with OCFS staff.
• Create detailed screen mock-ups to document the UI and user interface.
• Write detailed use cases and business flows.
• Work in coordination with a team of developers to implement the requirements.
• Perform unit testing and document all defects.
• Work with business customers to ascertain appropriate help, training, and executive reporting requirements as needed.
• The individual in this position will work under the direction of a Lead/Project Manager.

Requirements:

• 72 months experience facilitating meeting with users to identify & gather business requirements
• 72 months experience documenting functional requirement, business rules & complex security requirements
• 72 months experience in writing test plans & cases and performing unit & regression testing.
• 60 months SQL coding experience writing SQL data queries for extraction and/or validation of application data.
• 48 months experience with SharePoint writing and maintaining team/project documentation.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Work hours and location:

• Full time role with engagement lenth of 20 months
• Daily work hours: 8:30 – 5:00
• Physical office location: 40 N Pearl St, Albany, NY, 12243
• Telecommuting - 50%
