Job Description:
The Social Worker is responsible for providing crisis intervention, psychotherapy, family therapy, and comprehensive case management services for assigned patients/residents and their families. This position may also lead or assist with the referral and admission process for assigned new referrals and provides technical guidance to doctors, other hospital staff, and outside agencies on the methods and procedures for handling a particular case, within State and Federal guidelines. Position requires travel to and from other facilities within the region.
I. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
A. Education: In accordance with the Department of Health Administrative Rules, Title 11, Chapter 93-33, graduation with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in social work from a program of study accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or a doctoral degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, or a comparable regional accreditation body. Master’s degree from a social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is preferred.
. Experience: One (1) year professional social work experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Such experience must have demonstrated ability to perform the most difficult and complex assignments.
Licensures:
· A current, valid licensed clinical SOCIAL WORKER is REQUIRED; LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW
· Current, valid driver’s license is preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,100.00 per week
