The Briarcliff Manor SD is seeking an eager and highly qualified teacher to join our Middle School's dynamic team of educators and fulfill our mission of providing students with the tools and opportunities to do well and be well, and join us in our mission to guide children on their journey toward young adulthood. Join us as we incorporate a range of instructional strategies, create opportunities for discussion and reflection, offer community building and service learning, encourage students to take risks in their learning, and maintain clear expectations for behavior and social interaction.

Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate:
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning at the Middle School level.
- Committed to student-centered and student-driven learning experiences with opportunities for student voice and choice.
- Familiar with NYS Social Studies Learning Standards and uses them for unit and lesson plan development.
- Eagerness to learn and apply innovative classroom practices and technology.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs.
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty and student body.
- Exudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels.
- Experience teaching at the Middle School level.
