Social Services Security Officer

As a Social Services Security Officer with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team’s professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct everyday.

The hours for this position would be 5:00 am-9:00 am and 4:00 pm-8:00 pm every day of the week. Ideally, we would like for someone to work all the morning shifts and someone to work all the evening shifts OR someone to work both morning and evening shifts for five days and someone to work the other shifts for two days. Schedule can be discussed during interview.

The ideal candidate for this position would have experience or an interest in social work, as this position deals with at-risk individuals, county employees, and behavioral health management.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following are duties you may perform at your site. Duties include but are not limited to:

• interacting with clients, patrons, guests, partners, coworkers, and the public
• maintaining situational awareness at all times
• conducting foot patrols
• denying access to unauthorized personnel
• securing your site and preventing vandalism and theft
• screening and conducting metal detector wanding and bag checks to ensure no contraband is being brought to the site
• performing liquor control, preventing outside alcohol from coming in and inside alcohol from going out of the facility
• monitoring alcohol use and and prevent patrons from over drinking and being overserved
• scanning QR codes/NFC tags around your site
• assisting with emergencies and building evacuations
• utilizing reporting systems and contacting appropriate parties for site situations
• utilizing closed-circuit camera systems and review footage to maintain awareness of the site and its property
• issuing, maintaining, and facilitating badge access for your site
• maintaining confidentiality of all activities within your site
• utilizing verbal judo to de-escalate situations
• utilizing minimal use of force unless the individual poses an imminent physical danger to themselves, someone else, or you
• maintaining a professional and conservative demeanor at all times
• following SOPs at assigned site
• following, communicating, and enforcing local laws and regulations

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: Pay rate is $19.75/hour.

This is a W2 position. Employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• high school diploma or GED
• pass required background check
• able to work posted hours with no modification

Physical Requirements:

• able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
• able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
• able to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
• able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
