Social Media Marketing Intern

We are a local Boise criminal defense law practice dedicated to providing top-notch legal representation to our clients. While our work is serious, we want to showcase our office culture with a touch of humor and fun on Social Media platforms.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time Marketing/Social Media Intern to join our team. This is an in-person position in the Boise, Idaho area. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our office manager to develop engaging and entertaining content for our Social Media platforms. From crafting witty captions to designing eye-catching graphics, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our online presence and developing our brand.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming and creating content for various Social Media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and LinkedIn.
• Monitoring trends and news related to criminal defense law and incorporating them into our content strategy.
• Engaging with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Scheduling and publishing content across different platforms.
• Collaborating with the office manager to develop creative campaigns and initiatives to promote our services.
• Ensuring all content adheres to strict confidentiality, particularly when discussing case studies or legal matters.
• Assisting team with other tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have an outstanding work ethic, be self-motivated and have a “can do, get it done” teamwork/positive attitude!
• Strong written communication skills with a flair for creativity and humor.
• Familiarity with Social Media platforms and their best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in content creation tools/software are a plus.
• Basic photography/videography and editing as needed for content creation of posts and reels.
• Interest in law, criminal justice, and social justice, is helpful but not required, and we will teach you what you need to know in those areas to help you create great content.
• Working knowledge of Canva.
• Understanding the importance of client confidentiality and the ability to maintain it at all times. What you see/read/hear here must stay here!
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related degree.
• Be able to work in our Boise, Idaho office at least 2 days per week.

Benefits:

• Flexible working hours: 10-15 hours per week, with the ability to adjust based on your school schedule. We're in the office Mon-Thurs from 10am - 5pm and work remotely on Fridays. We are closed all Federal holidays. You can set your in-office hours within that time frame and adjust by semester if needed. We'd ideally like 2 days per week in-person in the office and are flexible with a hybrid situation for a 3rd day.
