INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
We have a Summer Internship opportunity for a marketing or communications student with interest and experience in Social Media. The Intern will provide support to our creative teams by collaborating on and executing Social Media strategies, including engaging with online communities, enhancing performance of our Social Media presence, and contributing to content creation. The Intern will work with various platforms to ensure successful campaign execution, and work through content challenges as they arise. This includes writing content, curating imagery, and applying a brand-appropriate point of view.
This will be a great match for you if you enjoy Social Media platforms and like to continually discover new trends and technology, as well as dig into analytics to leverage insights towards improved performance.
DURATION/HOUR/PAY RATE
· 10-12 weeks (starting in May or June)
· 20+ hours per week
· $18.00-$22.00 per hour (based on relevant skills and experience)
WORK LOCATION
We are currently working a Hybrid schedule, with in-office workdays on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Additional workdays in the office may be required based on project and meeting needs. A laptop and other necessary equipment may be provided for you, based on need and project requirements.
Requirements:KEY AREAS OF CONTRIBUTION
- Assist with social content creation and production
- Oversee the daily distribution of content to all platforms
- Maintain monthly content calendar across all social channels
- Engage with the community, responding to comments and DMs
- Ensure consistency of brand voice and tone across all channels
- Curate user-generated content and monitor brand mentions
- Monitor platform metrics and generate weekly performance reports
- Research top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients’ industries
- Monitor sites for customer service opportunities and initiate conversations on behalf of the brands
- Actively monitor program outcomes, and continuously fine tune programs as needed. Measure the effectiveness of the communications plan and report activity/successes, using metrics to inform future efforts
ABOUT YOU
You'll be a great fit for this opportunity if you have aptitude in the following areas:
- demonstrable experience managing Social Media in various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- an understanding of Social Media best practices and campaign management
- demonstrable success growing Social Media accounts in both follower count and engagement
- strong communicator able to positively engage with teams to find solutions and problem solve
- proactive approach to seeking information needed to fully understand projects
- self-starter with attention to detail
A big plus if you have some experience with:
- content creation including photography and Adobe Creative Suite
- Social Media management and analytics tools
- paid media advertising
