Role:                     Social Media Editor

Reporting to:      Director of Marketing   

Location:             Las Vegas (must reside in Las Vegas -in office position)

Social Media Editor will manage, develop and implement Social Media for the Yardbird brand to boost brand engagement and increase revenue. 

We are looking for a creative Social Media Editor to work in our marketing department. The Social Media Editor is responsible for setting Social Media strategy for the Yardbird brand, inclusive of defining Yardbird Social Media guidelines, determining Yardbird Social Media content pillars. creating Social Media posts, develop and manage Social Media calendars and work with the marketing and operations teams to brainstorm compelling Social Media campaigns. 

This role will also be responsible for photographing, videoing, and editing all Social Media content.

To be successful on this role the candidate must have excellent knowledge of various Social Media platforms and be facile in creating static and digital Social Media content.  A good Social Media Editor combines creative campaign ideas with analytical skills to create successful posts.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

·         Develop and collaborate on strategies for attracting new followers and engaging existing followers through Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.

·         Ideate and edit to produce social-first content that aligns with brand guidelines and company positioning. 

·         Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure social content is produced for all relevant Social Media platforms in support of overarching marketing plans, inclusive of paid Social Media.

·         Research, identify, and stay ahead of relevant content ideas based on current events, trends, and topics that align with the brand’s mission, target audience, and core values.

·         Collaborate with marketing, operations, culinary and beverage teams to adhere to project objectives, requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

·         Coordinate and align with various stakeholders, including designers and public relations teams to ensure seamless project execution within overall marketing campaigns.

·         Create social-first content with assets both produced by this position and other creatives, ensuring the alignment of designs and content with overall project objectives and brand guidelines.

·         Collaborate with marketing and ops teams to create shot lists storyboards, and mood boards for social content and production. 

·         Develop and implement brand voice and tone across Social Media platforms ensuring brand integrity and positioning. 

·         Produce and maintain regular content calendars for social channels, inclusive of seasonal menus, relevant events, announcements, sales initiatives and tentpole dates. 

·         Edit, copywrite and post real-time content and live coverage for events, as needed. 

·         Utilize analytical tools and platforms to measure and analyze campaign performance and derive actionable insights.

Job Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, marketing, or a related field or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         3-5 years of experience as a Social Media content creator, Social Media manager, marketing producer, or content producer in the hospitality industry or a similar field.

·         Proficient with an SLR/iPhone camera and an eye for creating quality, multi-use content

·         Strong understanding of Social Media marketing principles, strategies, and tactics across various channels, including digital, Social Media, print, and events.

·         Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

·         Proficiency in Social Media scheduling platforms - such as Sprout Social, Later and Trello.

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

·         Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

·         Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

·         This position may require atypical hours, including night or weekend event coverage. 

·         Ability to travel up to 60% to local Yardbird markets.

·         Must be willing to work from Yardbird and 50 Eggs west coast office in Las Vegas, NV.
