POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist collaborates with King & Columbus, the in-house Digital Marketing agency managed by The Post and Courier, to craft and elevate content, fostering engagement and revenue growth across social networks. In this role, responsibilities include creating and managing paid Social Media campaigns, organic social management, some project management and managing Digital Marketing campaigns beyond social when needed. Taking the lead in creative ideation and strategic planning, the position also entails client reporting and meticulous metric tracking. The specialist will be managing client social campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the paid Social Media advertising and marketing strategy and fulfillment for our Social Media platforms and our clients; focusing on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.
- Support in managing client projects using systems including Monday.com
- Execution of all Social Media activities (i.e. tweeting, sharing, engaging, liking, increasing social reach, doing the heavy lifting, etc.) for our clients.
- Supporting Social Media organic management for clients that utilize King & Columbus for these services.
- Develop content calendars and other planning necessary for organic social management.
- Conceptualize engaging content across social platforms that meets client objectives.
- Partner with Content Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer in the development of social content and creative.
- Produce social reporting to share with clients as needed.
- Create graphics to be used in social posts alongside content (through Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
- Understand social marketing targeting abilities and identify strategies to reach clients' audience personas through social platforms
- Help agency and advertising staffs develop and refine Social Media strategies for our advertising clients, especially small/medium businesses in the markets where we operate.
- Implementing Social Media SEO tactics aligned with our clients' keyword and SEO strategies.
- Managing Digital Marketing campaigns outside of Social Media as part of an overall strategy, including but not limited to display, paid search, streaming video, streaming audio, email marketing, etc.
- Participate in evaluations of potential vendors with Social Media. Assist operations teams to determine vendor potential, scope, costs, scalability and integration ability, then make recommendations.
- Produce case studies for successful client campaigns.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:
- Works heavily in Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads Manager, Instagram Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, and TikTok ads.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or comparable experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with, and strategic understanding of, current and emerging social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
- 2+ Years of Social Media Marketing experience in a corporate marketing, agency marketing role, and B2B role or media environment.
- Meta Ads Manager experience required.

- Understanding social metrics and KPIs
- Experience using scheduling platforms for Social Media platforms
- An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
- Project management knowledge
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
