In the course of a year, we provide more than 3,000 children, ages 6 weeks through Pre-K with high-quality literacy and STEAM-infused learning; give 58,000 youth and teens access to sports, aquatics, day and resident camps, teen leadership development programs, and employment opportunities; provide over 200,000 members with programs, services, and facilities to enjoy connection and maintain wellness regardless of age; and engage over 25,000 volunteers and donors from across Atlanta to share in the gift of supporting their communities.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Chief Social Impact Officer, the Social Impact Manager will advance the mission of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta by serving as a project manager for critical strategic programs including partnerships, advocacy, community and volunteer engagement, and impact tracking.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
  • Coordinate data collection for key strategic plan priorities, including food insecurity efforts.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for platforms that support the work of the Social Impact Team, including Achieve It, Volunteer Matters, Survey Monkey, and partnership database.
  • Provide thought partnership and support to Y branch leaders to build and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Support the creation and implementation of volunteer engagement and recognition strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison between Social Impact team and Y branches and program sites for corporate volunteer engagement events, including being onsite for volunteer events.
  • Maintain relationships with a portfolio of partners.
  • Support strategic, association-wide partners by providing administrative and project management support (i.e., managing invoices, scheduling meetings).
  • Manage the meetings, communications, and event schedule of the Y Ambassadors (Youth Professionals) Board.
  • Support the Y’s advocacy efforts, including drafting communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years or High School Diploma and 4+ years of people/project/program management
  • 2+ years of experience in community development
  • Ability to understand partnership models in complex, changing communities and secure partnership opportunities
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multi-part projects with multiple stakeholders, driving them to completion
  • Ability to explain complex issues and communicate goals clearly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Desire to be proactive and a commitment toward action and driving results
  • Ability to multi-task, including post-implementation analysis, in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • A high sense of urgency and integrity and is motivated by new challenges
  • Ability to understand, communicate, prioritize, and comply with reporting requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with YMCA branch and association team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and execution on obligations.
  • Strong computer proficiency with excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years of experience in community development
  • 5+ years of non-profit experience
