LOCAL DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION PLAN CLASS CODE: 7332 CLASS TITLE: Social Emotional Behavioral Program Specialist REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent/Designee APPROVED: SUPERVISES: Assigned Personnel NUMBER OF DAYS: 190 Requirements stated herein are minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to qualify for this position. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position successfully, the employee must possess the abilities and aptitudes to perform each task proficiently. BASIC FUNCTION: To act under the general direction of the Chief Academic Officer to provide support and coaching in social, emotional and behavioral best practices to the instructional staff and the students of Lincoln County School District. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain a valid driver's license for the length of employment.Ability to travel between multiple school sites.

Provide coaching support to teachers, administrators, and other school staff in developing intervention and progress monitoring systems to coordinate Tier 2 & 3 behavioral health and SEL supports.Support staff and students, in the school setting (i.e.

during transitions between classes, beginning and end of the day, at recess, lunch, and specials) with optimizing social interactions and social pragmatic instruction in real life situations.Work with students individually or in integrated settings such as the regular classroom, team meetings, and in cooperation with classroom teachers.Attend and participate in regularly scheduled school Coordinated School Health meetings.Conduct parent, student and teacher interviews and student observations as needed.Use research-based and technically sound practices to drive decision-making; and collaborate with school personnel and parents to develop and modify student intervention strategies.Conduct home visits as a method to access the family in response to student needs.Assist teachers and other classroom staff in monitoring individual student behavior to increase knowledge of staff and meeting the needs of students.Serve as liaison among schools, families and community and collaborate with various teams to assure positive outcomes for all learners.Collaborate with school leadership to assess, develop and implement school wide initiatives to address Social Emotional wellness.Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.Adhere to the appropriate code of ethics.Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.Person performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.This type of work will involve sitting some of the time but will involve walking or standing for extended periods.May be required to provide physical restraint of students as required by 704 KAR 7:160.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Experience: Experience working with children is preferred.Education: Equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, mental health administration/management, or other related experience.
