Essential Functions:
• Create and deliver engaging soccer clinics, camps, and training sessions.
• Teach participants the fundamental skills, techniques, and rules of soccer.
• Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help participants improve their performance.
• Develop and implement fun and challenging drills and training sessions.
• Coach teams within the league as well as provide guidance to volunteer coaching staff.
• Organize and oversee soccer games and tournaments.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions and games.
• Transports and sets up equipment for games and practices; communicates the needs of specific soccer needs.
• Assist with the developing the team rosters.
• Organizes and conducts parent orientation meetings, trainings and meetings for coaches.
• Assists in recruiting volunteers for coaching and soccer instructional staff.
• Assists in keeping field, facilities, storage areas and offices clean, neat and organized.
• Provides leadership to the daily operation of Soccer camps.
• Promotes character development in programs.

Qualifications:
• 18 years or older preferred
• A minimum of 1 year previous years of coaching or playing the sport of Soccer.
• In-depth knowledge of the sport of Soccer along with the ability to teach and train participants.
• Ability to learn and adhere to the YMCA programs, philosophies and mission.
• Must present a professional image to the parents and community.
• Highly organized process superior communication skills and teaching ability.
• Must be able to develop harmonious relationships with staff and community leaders.
• Strong public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong desire and ability to work with children.
• Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: CPR; First Aid; AED.
Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
