Snowmaking

Makes snow in accordance with policies and safety procedures outlined in Snowmaking Training manual in order to produce a base of snow on all runs of ski hill, to cover high wear areas and to enhance terrain to enable it to be skied/snowboarded safely.

Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

Operates snow guns and other equipment in the production of snow.

Operates hand or power tools in the general upkeep and maintenance of equipment essential in the production of snow.

Connects hoses and electrical cords at designated points on hill for the operation of the snowguns.

Moves, digs out and thaw guns as needed to remain operative efficiently.

Understand the mechanics and physics of snowmaking.

Works in a safe manner, being aware of surroundings at all times.

Must pass pre-employment background check.

Must be at least 18 years of age to work.

Ability to use a snowmobile and ATV.

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Basic Math.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Must have a valid driver's license.
