Everline is looking for a seasonal experienced Snow Cat Operator that has previous heavy equipment experience and/or previous grooming machine experience preferred with basic knowledge of snowcat/heavy equipment maintenance and operation.

- Performs daily equipment inspections at start of shift and end of shifts.
- Inspect and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Report mechanical equipment issues to department head or supervisor.
- Maintain a general knowledge of the mountain and adhere to safety regulations
- Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep.
- You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of snow grooming equipment.
- Maintain quality control of trail maintenance.
- Grooming cross country course to seamless corduroy using a combination of blade and tiller without unnecessary stress on the machine.
- Laying nice cross country track lines.
- Transportation of guests from Everline to Palisades and back with Snow Cat during mountain hours.
- Other grooming duties as assigned
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions
- Understand the use, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment used for snow/slope grooming
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English
- Ability to work in small groups as well as independently
- Available to work mornings, nights, weekdays and weekends.
- Capable of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted.
Preferred Skills
- 3-5 year ski area operations experience
- 2-4 snowcat/heavy equipment experience
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of sitting 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift as well as climb on of off Snow Cat frequently. Must be capable of frequently bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lift up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor and outdoor working environment and the noise level in the work place is usually low.
- Typical equipment used include but are not limited to Snow Cat machines, shovels, and radios.
