Sneaker Staff Writer

Sneaker News is looking for editors to join our online editorial and social team. As an Editor, you will play a role in shaping and growing the Sneaker News media platform by contributing to daily news posts, social media copy, and other special projects that include paid media. The associate will also be responsible for highly detailed data-entry into our internal database. A passion for sneakers, streetwear, art, and sports is highly valued. HUGE plus if you maintain your own blog or active social media page. We are looking for individuals who live and breathe writing and creative expression more than anything else. This position is located in our Manhattan office. You MUST live and breathe sneakers. No casuals.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Edit blog-posts on the latest and upcoming happenings in a deadline-oriented fashion
• Craft compelling, engaging headlines
• Photo cropping/minor editing
• Focus on brands/trends in the luxury/high-end or performance shoe category
• Highly detailed-oriented data entry
• Keep up to date on latest releases and key footwear retailers
• Fact/info checking

QUALIFICATIONS

• College-level writing ability
• Natural ability to wordsmith
• Beginner/Intermediate proficiency with Photoshop (photo cropping/editing)
• Experience with Wordpress a plus
• Professional/personal blogging experience a plus
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Thorough knowledge of the current sneaker scene
• Awareness of fashion/sport influencers a plus
• In the future: Ability to work in the SneakerNews.com office (Manhattan)
