Small Parcel Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced shipping spcialist to join our team. As a Small Parcel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipments of our largest customer and ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day picking and packing of Small Parcels and preparing them for shipment

- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment

- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and productivity

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support e-commerce operations and meet customer demands

- Utilize warehouse management systems (AS400) to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports

- Coordinate with the warehouse administrators to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of goods

- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records and resolve any discrepancies

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a lead shipping role within a distribution center or warehouse environment

- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes

- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (AS400) and other relevant software applications

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational goals

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required in a warehouse setting

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
