Position Summary:
The Small Business Banking Team Leader will be responsible for the overall achievement of business deposit goals (NIB & IB) and SMB loan goals, objectives, and financial performance of the Small Business sales team (Business Bankers/Business Development Officers) across the First Bank footprint. This position will report to the Director of Small Business/Corporate Development. The Small Business Team Leader will have 2 primary responsibilities: (1) Achievement of individual Small Business deposit/loan, fee income production goals, and the active management of a book of business and (2) Ensure that each of the Business Bankers on the team achieve their individual business deposit/loan and fee income production goals while successfully managing a book of business, joint calling with Branch Managers and referring larger commercial loan deals to Relationship Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
a. Meet and exceed assigned business development and financial goals for the Small Business Banking unit.
b. Achievement of Business DDA account targets, Business Express Loans up to $500K, and cash management fee income.
c. Ensure proper pipeline management and completion of minimum business development activities of banking team.
d. Ensure the growth and development of Business Bankers through training / coaching.
e. Assist in the overall sales efforts for the Bank.
f. Provide coaching, development, motivation and support to business bankers, retail market/ and branch managers.
g. Participate in company strategy and planning sessions to improve Small Business product/service offerings.
h. Help support Regional/Branch Management staff and Commercial RMs to ensure that proper customer service levels are maintained at the Bank.
i. Act as an additional resource to Regional/Branch Management staff to source new deals, open accounts, and joint business call.
j. Collaborate with Commercial & Retail Leadership to ensure synergies across lines of business to support achievement of First Bank goals and objectives.

2. Individual Business Development
a. Meet and exceed assigned individual business development goals.
b. Expand customer relationships to increase the number of products and services received from the Bank.
c. Develop new deposit and loan business to achieve individual sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and retention of account relationships.
d. Helps manage internal product or sales initiatives.

3. Community Leadership
a. Represent First Bank in the community through serving on boards and attending key events in market.
b. Maintain key COIs within the community to support the Bank's growth objectives
c. Partner with Advisory Board Members to support in the referral process of new clients
d. Ensure active participation of team in events and activities to ensure First Bank is compliant with CRA standards representative of a “Satisfactory to Outstanding” bank rating.
e. Participate in community affairs and join local organizations to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
f. Meet the minimum attendance at weekly community events.

4. Compliance and Operational Excellence
a. Accountable to ensure First Bank standards of operational excellence are maintained by sales teams.
b. Ensure timely completion of scheduled compliance, new hire and additionally assigned training within market.
c. Ensure sales team members operate within established First Bank policies and procedures.
d. Responsible for adherence to First Bank code of conduct and ethics policies.
e. Evaluate and complete periodic reviews for direct reports.
f. Ensures the optimum efficiency, effectiveness, and full regulatory compliance of all sales staff in their markets.
