Job Description
Legacy Speech Services is looking for a devoted SLP-A willing to work with a pediatric population in an outpatient clinic. The candidate must have knowledge about language development and disorders/differences, articulation, and some behavioral management for children with challenging conducts.
The SLP-A must be open to learn new methodologies, such as: Floortime, and be flexible while working with parents inside the therapy room. The therapist will provide speech-therapy services and document progress according to treatment plans developed by the supervisor/SLP for diverse populations involving autism, childhood apraxia of speech, language delays, and articulation among others.
The SLP-A will also be required to perform some clerical support duties such as maintaining records, files, and preparing copies when needed. Also, the candidate is expected to use good judgment in making independent decisions when needed and maintain a cooperative working relationship with parents/caregivers. To be seriously considered for this position the candidate must be a bilingual speaking person fluent both in Spanish and English.
Applicant must have a current SLP-A license for the state of Texas. Part-time - or full-time positions are available in the Houston (Spring Branch) and Katy area. The position is offered as contractor 1099 or W-2

Our main focus is on the pediatric segment; although we also treat patients of all ages.
Overall, the main goal is to provide the best possible therapy for those who have not been diagnosed or have been neglected, ,neglected, and have not yet received the appropriate care.
